Apart from full Architectural Services KMD Architecture has in-house expertise and qualifications in Project Management, Interior Design, Health & Safety Regulations. We engage with specialist consultants (particularly mechanical & electrical engineers) to test proposed design. Appropriate, adjacency requirements, room user requirements, space requirements, sustainable design options are produced at the concept stage of projects.
Investing time at the briefing stage is crucial to establish building population, low energy, expansion etc. KMD Architecture then seeks to identify the company's ethos. Our objective is to achieve not only the functional and budgetary needs of the client but also to fulfil our responsibilities as architects towards the occupants of the building and the receiving environment. We understand, through analysis, the important characteristics of a site and the client's requirements.
Subsequently preliminary sketch designs would be prepared showing options for the form and massing of the building on site and the disposition of the various elements. Current design solutions would be researched and completed projects visited, where feasible.
KMD Architecture embrace best practice in sustainability on all projects. Following a detailed design review, a sketch design would be chosen and developed.
